Even if you have deleted your account completely, you can reactivate it if you haven’t completely done so yet. Use the same username and password to log in to Messenger the next time you use it.

Deactivating Messenger On Android 

The process isn’t the same as on iOS.

1 – Open the Messenger chat on your Android phone. 

2 – From Chats, tap on your profile picture at the top left corner.

4 – Click Deactivate Messenger. 

5 – Enter your password.

Is There A Way To Turn Your Messenger Notifications?

You don’t want to deactivate or delete your Facebook Messenger. Not at all. Finally, you can turn off Messenger notifications if they bother you. You can also hide your activity status if you don’t want people to see it.

1 – Open the chat and click on your profile picture at the top left corner. 

2 – Click Active Status. 

3 – Toggle the switch off if it’s on to show you inactive. 

4 – Now go back. 

5 – Click Notifications & Sounds. 

6 – Turn on Do Not Disturb. Thus, you won’t get any notification from Messenger. You can also separately change its settings like switching off notification sound, ringtone, vibration, etc.
